Borobudur Temple, The Biggest Buddha Temple

Borobudur is the biggest Buddha temple in Indonesia. it was built on the period of the King Samaratungga at 824 and became the biggest Buddha temple in 9 century. It is located in Magelang, Central Java. The tample which has a measurement of  123 x 123 meters has had 1460 reliefs and 504 stupas of Buddha.

Borobudur building has shape punden staircase consists of 10 levels. This tample has height of 42 meters before the renovation and 34.5 meters after the renovation because the lowest level was used as a drag. Six lowest level is square and three levels above is circular and the highest level in the form of a Buddhist stupa facing to the west. Each level represents the stages of human life. Corresponding schools of Mahayana Buddhism, every person who wants to reach the level as the Buddha had to go through each level of the life.International institutions of the United Nations "UNESCO" recognizes and commend the Borobudur Temple as one of the world's largest Buddhist monument.
